Task5

I am taking certificate of foundation. It is rather interesting course, but it is a little bit difficult for me because I have never learnt subjects. However, teachers are really nice, they try their best to teach students. what they teach us is useful for us as well as any other students. I believe that this course help me that my real academic life at University of Canterbury. sometimes i just learn the information for exams but, I try to understand what I am learning. If I could not pass the exams, I would be disappointed by my self and my parents would be disappointed as well.

I'm choosing commerce because I had been interested this course for a long time before i enrolled it. Especially, accounting. everyone said to me that is the boring subject ever., but i found that it is fun for me.

however,one day if I get bored of accounting, what can i do? i would not give up!!

if there were a chance to start again diff rent coerces, I would choose science. I just want to try it^^ It might be a big challenge for me. but guys!! life can be peaceful and calm all the time.

Hello

When i told that my friends to go to New Zealand, all my friend was shocked and sad. me as well.
because i never think that I leave the country. when i came to New Zealand, i had to stop over to Japan, but unfortunately, the air plane delayed for 12 hours so that the Japan air line provided us accommodation for the next air plane. that time I could not speak or understand what they were saying, i had to guess. that was the most horrible time that i had in my life.
Anyway, finally i got to Christchurch and it was raining and a bit hot. i can still remember that when i got off the air port, i could smell fresh air, that was amazing.
Now, I'm going to tell you guys that the first day at University of Canterbury.
I was so excited and nervous at the same time. teachers were friendly enough.
but, it was a huge university so i got lost and i was late for the orientation =.=

Living in New Zealand

I had never thought about studying overseas, but i came to New Zealand because my family decided to come here so I came here with my parents. I did not plan it so it was kind of surprise. before my family came to New Zealand, my second cousin had already lived in New Zealand. we could get lots of information from our second cousin. I was a university students in South Korea
but I haven't finished the course yet. however, I wanted to go to university in Australia. then I thought it would be difficult to live in Australia so I decided to go to University of Canterbury.
now I am thinking that I have made right choice. the university has good environment and nice teachers so I am satisfied with my decision.

Welcome, my name is Lina, I am form South Korea. I moved to New Zealand in 2002 with my family. because my parents wanted me and my sister to give a good opportunity to study in overseas. the reason why they chose to come to New Zealand is that it is safe and having good environment for us and them. I think, they have made a good decision to come to New Zealand. even though, my family is around me, sometimes i get home sick. missing Korean food and my old friends, but i have to get over it^^ I am not sure that how long I am going to stay in New Zealand, but i like living in New Zealand and Christchurch where city I live in.
